We control weeds using mechanical methods to increase soil ecosystem diversity. Our weed control methods have minimum soil disturbance to maximize population and activity of soil earthworms, microorganisms and fungi. Less soil disturbance means more atmosphere carbon absorption.

ON FARM TREATMENT

All the treatment machinery are inside the farm to reduce carbon emissions. The pistachios are been processed just after collection. The tank after after the shelling machine, the elevator to drier, and the drier drum are made of stainless steel. This eliminate the possibility of rust-pistachio contact.

The final product is been stored in almost airtight isolated storage place. The is no phosphine adding.The good isolation provides small temperature deviation to ensure best nut quality.

The farm is supervised by an MSc(Eng) Environmental Engineer. There are no wastes production. The plastic big bags are up-cycling for usage in transportation of construction debris. Damaged shells are treated with pyrolysis and the carbon produced is been returned to ground. All the treatment residues are used as fertilizer. The water used for treatment is used for irrigation. Pruning wood is chipped and returning to ground as well. The use of drip irrigation reduces evaporation and thus water consumption.
